13. Skewing Polls

I don't understand why so many people are into skewing polls. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of the information presented? Once you 'DU' a poll you contribute to skewing the results so that it no longer becomes a poll of what the general surfing population to that location actually thinks, it just becomes a reflection of who has skewed the poll more.
