All of them have supported the war in ways that I can't ethically support.
I will, however, support any Democratic candidate vs Bush.
It's not over for Dean yet though. Super Tuesday beckons.

19. Shite, I hadn't thought about this until tonight. |
|
Being so adamantly against this war, I can't ethically vote for anyone who has innocent blood on their hands by their voting for and supporting the war against Iraq. I will have to find a way to justify it, and at this point, I'm not sure if I can do that.
I suppose my anti-War stance has strengthened considerably over the past year. Things are different now. As my thoughts reel from Deans 3rd place win in the Iowa caucus, I've realized that being involved in his campaign has changed my mind considerably. I don't want to hold my nose when I vote anymore. This is a dilemma that I hadn't really thought about until tonight. I never thought the choice would be Bush, or another war supporter. ABB? I thought I was, but my view is, if we have a pro-war candidate running against Bush, Bush will win. I'm going to have to do alot more thinking about this.

And Clark a clear last.
Again, note that I consider myself a Dean supporter because I can't see Kucinich winning.

So it'll be really tough for me in November if Dean's not the nominee, but I know I won't vote Green.

By the way, this is a better way to do this than the poll I did. There's more accountability than in the polling system.
2nd choice: John Kerry
Last choice: Wes Clark

Of those three Clark, Kerry, or Edwards), I would be fine with any of them in the vice-presidential spot on the ticket.

too, but this is but one step on the road. With the exception of one, ALL would be head and shoulders over our regime. Many have let me down greatly when I was looking for leadership and opposition against our cabal's evil, but WILL receive my vote in November even if they weren't my choice.

26. I don't understand the Dean or abstain or vote Nader |
|
First, Dean's positions are like most of the other high profile Democrats. The style is different to be sure, but Howard Dean as a governor was probably more conservative than Kerry and Gephardt as congressmen. Wes Clark was and is vocally against the Iraq war and Edwards and Kerry came out against the additional $87 billion for Iraq.
So, you're left with not much in the way of different decisions in governance for a future Democratic president. Dean has the party leadership in his sights, but it's hard to see him changing much except what everyone agrees are the Democrats core weakenesses (lack of message, lack of exposure, lack of consistency). Again, while Dean criticizes the party leaders out loud, he's been wooing them behind the scenes. He's savvy, not revolutionary.
So, it doesn't make sense to bail on the party if he isn't nominated.
In fact, to bolt to Nader makes even less sense. If Nader is an acceptable candidate to you, then Dean should not be, because their policies are miles apart.

30. I have been saying this about Dean supporters |
|
They are soooooooo much into Dean that many cannot support another Democrat or will vote Nader.
If Dean supporters lose the general election for the Democratic, Dean should be kicked out of the party.
