Question about Dick Morris and the Democratic Party |
|
Edited on Thu Dec-09-04 09:10 PM by imenja
Dick Morris is continually appearing on Fox news speaking as though he knows absolutely everything about the party: Harold Ickes will be DNC chair, Hillary will be the 2008 nominee, etc... My question: Is there a Democrat left in America who would actually talk to Dick Morris? How can he claim to know anything about the internal workings of the party?

1. I don't think It would be Hillary |
|
In Hillarys book, she describes a time when Bill Clinton had Morris one the floor, with his fist cocked to hit him in the face, when she pulled Bill off Morris.

2. I think Dick says what Fox wants him to say. |
|
That's what they pay him for.
Fox desperately wants Hillary to be the nominee and they've basically endorsed her.
I think you're spot on, NO Democrat is talking to that toe-sucker.

3. Dick Morris appeals to Fox viewers Clinton haters |
|
It's a mutual use thing. Fox uses him to keep their rabid Clinton haters tuned in, and he gets advertising for his dreadfully boring books.
He has no credibility.

4. Umm Morris has no credibility, after his stint with the New York Post |
|
I mean he predicted that Hillary won't run for the Senate LOL.

6. ... actually, he may be onto something re Ickes |
|
I worked for Ickes' organization (ACT) during the campaign. And while we didn't win, his job was fundraising, and he won BIG. The Joint Victory Campaign (ACT and Media Fund) raised over $100 million. That's the main job of the DNC chair -- fundraising -- and Ickes can do that with one hand tied behind his back.

7. That's what he said but I wonder . . . |
|
how he reaches his conclusions. Do you think he still has sources within the party?

9. He may still have sources within the party |
|
He's not a party-insider anymore.
But having sources or not never kept any pundit from speculating. It's what they do best.
