The DNC sent me a load of KRAP in an e-mail
from my e-mail....

"Under Chairman Terry McAuliffe's leadership, the DNC has spent the past four years making the power of grassroots activism a top priority. Thanks to those efforts, the Democratic Party is stronger than it has ever been before."

WHAT A LOAD OF KRAP!!! GET RID OF ALL THOSE WHO SUPPORTED HIM AND HIS KIND. BRING THE PARTY BACK TO ITS PROGRESSIVE ROOTS!

1. I got that garbage
too and discarded it without looking at it, now I know that what it said wasn't really worth anything. x(

2. Gee, they actually weren't asking for money!
Usually when I get emails from them, it's always about the money.

3. Actually McAuliffe HAS done a lot for the party in the way
of organization which is what helped us actually have the monetary advantage over the rethugs for once but...

He's just been a lousy leader politically.

9. He couldn't have been all that good if Sean Insannity
calls him "my good friend."

5. There was a feedback form attached to that e-mail.
Send them a message. I'm sure Terry would love hearing from you.

6. What I said--
From your latest email--

"In the past four years, the DNC expanded its small donor base seven fold, from 400,000 in 2000 to 2.7 million in 2004.
<snip>
We also mobilized 233,000 volunteers, knocking on 11 million doors, and making 38 million volunteer phone calls. "

I'd like to point out that these things were largely the result of self organized volunteers, mostly from the primary campaigns of Dean, Kucinich and Clark, whose supporters then transferred their efforts to the national campaign.

If you expect this level of interest to be maintained, you will have to pay attention to this base. If you don't choose Dean (or someone else with that same agressive attitude toward grassroots growth), I see no reason to contribute further to the national party. My time and money in that case will be going only to my LD and county Democratic organizations, the Progressive Democrats of America, and Democracy for America, and individual candidates who share my views.

7. Screw the guy....

I think he was our biggest drawback this year. Let him rot in obscurity and ponder his shame.

I was active for Clark and the DNC and now I reap the whirlwind, Junk Mail, Junk mail, Junk mail!

They wasted my money the first time and NOW they want more? Please!

10. I beg to differ with some here.
Terry McAuliffe did a damn good job organizing and fundraising, and the party is solvent under his stewardship.

Don't blame McAuliffe for the shortcomings of John Kerry and especially the DLC.

It would be wise to take some care and not throw the baby out with the bath water.
