2. purge the purgers?
Edited on Sat Dec-11-04 06:19 PM by Doomsayer13
this has gotten out of control. The Democratic party isn't about purging anybody - or else we wouldn't be called the Democratic party.

3. When you start purging the Democratic Party
Its time to put up the chairs, turn out the lights and lock the the doors because there is no point anymore in having a Dem party.

4. purges are purges
The reason is irrelevant. People who don't want to be in the party exclude themselves. We don't need to devise more reasons to lose voters. The party is doing that well enough already.
Also, one point that is stunningly absent from this discussion: when Stalin carried out purges, he had POWER; he controlled the state. The Democrats do not.
I still have to wonder, is Karl Rove lurking on this board posting these purging threads? The Republicans are the only ones who benefit from such a thing.

5. The 2 party system seems like it works in sports
This is about life not sports but it appears America wants everything easy. The democratic party has been the party of so many factions, while the simplistic goals of conservatives have focused down to white christians for greed,we have been pulled across the middle towards thier short sighted easy living.
We can fix this mess but right now the other has been cheating for a long time.Should we learn how to cheat to win ?

6. So if you vote to purge on this one, you are voting to purge yourself?
Because then you'd be a purger.
