Just Curious
first, I'm a newbie, but I'm not a troll, so there's not need to "call me out" now my question.

How would the anti-bush sentiment differ if the bush that had run in 2000 and 2004 were Jeb and not George? Would their policies have differed enough to make a difference in how people felt about a President Bush. Also, how much of the anti-Bush sentiment is more personal than political?

I ask, because I'm normally fairly apolitical, but I came to this site for another view of election info that was not being covered elsewhere. Shrub gives off such an unprepared arrogance that I have trouble listening to what he says for content, since the delivery makes me nauseous.

1. First off, welcome!
:hi: I have never voted for any of the various Shrubs, nor would I ever. Having said that, I think Jeb presents himself better and can actually articulate a sentence unlike his arrogant ass of a brother. And yes, he also makes me nauseous!

First - welcome to DU. I've been here longer than my post count would indicate. Just the quiet type.

I doubt we would have hated Jeb so viscerally as we do the Texas Turd. Jeb doesn't smirk and doesn't seem to go on about Jeezus! all the time.

3. As a Floridian, I can tell you that Jeb is not much better than George...
He's a little more polished, and smarter, but that isn't saying much when we are talking about the Bush clan.

Jeb is just as arrogant and is getting more so since he recaptured the Governor's mansion in 2002.

Things might have been a bit worse... Jebbie is a founding memeber of PNAC (Project for the New American Century -- google it).

5. You nailed it: PNAC .... Jeb is smarmy in his own way, I can't
STAND to listen to him speak. He acts like he's "hiding something" about his personal life. His speech is rife with fake concern.

He IS A BUSH. He would have tried to pulled off much the same schemes as all the bushs subscribe to(fascism, kill democracy as we love it) ...He'd just do it "slicker" and with better english and body language.

Jeb Bush is a pube. :puke:

4. Jeb would have distinguished himself
in the usual Bush manner.
I am sure it would have depended on how he'd acted on some of the situations of the times. Had he chosen to ignore warnings and then attacked the wrong enemy, gotten us bogged down in a failed war all while giving the store away to his friends -- I'd say we'd have a reason to 'dislike" him, too.
That's what did it for me. Welcome to DU. I be new, too.

6. All the Bush's
are fascist. Prescott and the rest were part of the East Coast elite that believed in corporate fascism, and have been working toward that end for a long time. In the 1920's and 30's fascism was actually discussed in the open as a viable government for the U.S.
