Fmr. Sen. Allan Simpson on Bill Maher (they fight like mad)
Just posting some good video clips if some of you haven't seen them.

Allan Simpson tries to rip into Maher's comments but yet again, the Conservative loses the argument with simple logic, and then relies on immature slander and name calling.

1. That was the show before the election -- Repug takeover
Simpson set the agenda, and there was little wavering.

The single most disappointing Maher show.

Ever!

2. Wasn't it the show right after the election?
The whole point of Simpson's confrontations was that the reason the Dems lost is because Bill Maher is an elitist making fun of Christians, gays, southerners, etc. "Keep making fun of them, and you'll keep losing" was the message both Simpson and Sullivan kept spouting.

3. Agreed.
It is true that more people would be insulted by Maher's comments, but that makes no difference; Maher speaks the truth regardless of the cost.

4. From what I understand,
Simpson had been a frequent guest on Maher's previous show, Politically Incorrect, with no problems between the two of them except for a respectful disagreement or two. That current rant by Simpson against Maher was reminiscent of Zell Miller going off on Tweety. I was surprised to hear Imus, the next week, take up for Maher, saying Maher had not baited Simpson at all...which Maher tends to do, justifiably.
