A warning found in the street today.
I found some disturbing evidence in the road today on my bike ride. First, let me say that a few days ago I saw helicopter gunships cruising over March Air force Base in Moreno Valley, Ca. They were firing .50 cal machine guns. Today, I found a spent round -on-the-highway- near the base. The round is not a crimped blank casing. It is the real deal.

What I want to know is why is there such heavy weaponry being discharged in an dense urban center from an air force base which had nearly shut down until the Bush coup.

I know something about ballistics and the .50 caliber round has a range of several miles. Further, March AFB has heavily armed personnel behind concrete and razor wire barricades at all of it's entrances. I wonder what is going on at other bases around the country. This is not normal prepping for military training-particularly in an urban setting. Armament of this type is Fort Ord ordinance.

Remember Der Fuhrer's famous words: "You're either with us, or against us."

5. Military helicopters
have been flying over New Orleans the past couple of weeks. They are flying at a low level, shining spotlights on the streets. This is supposed to be a training exercise for Homeland Security. It seems more like training to supress the population to me.

I think that more likely they are training for the invasion of Iran or Syria rather than to take over US cities.

38. 1984?
My God...1984 anyone? I am disturbed by many things I see happening around the country. I am even more greatly disturbed by some of the things I see here in my town. What the hell has happened to our country? How long until 'they' start dragging us Liberals and Dems out of our houses in the dead of night?

How long before the Thought Police become a reality?

48. Thanks!
It is great to be here. Still in shock about 4 more years and I'm trying like hell to figure out what to do about it. Reading everything I can get my hands on. Educating myself so that I can educate others...
Don't have very many people here at home to bounce ideas off of. I work with a whole butt-load of Repubs in a whole frikkin' SEA of Red in the Midwest. I know 48% in my state voted for Kerry but I'll be damned if I can find more than three or four of them around here.
I guess I'm just trying not to feel so alone. I know there ARE other people out there who think like me.
Jeez, look at me. I talk WAYYYY too much! lol I'm just glad to be here. Glad to be seeing a couple of new viewpoints. It's refreshing to find others who feel as strongly as I do and actually THINK about what they see and hear around them.
So many seem deaf and blind.
Anyway, glad to be here. Thanks for the welcome. See you around the boards!

27. Live or not, they made holes in the roof of the school!
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/11/04/national/main653804.shtml

Police Chief Mark Siino said officers who responded noticed punctures in the roof. Ceiling tiles had fallen into classrooms, and there were scratch marks in the asphalt outside.

And the school wasn't empty, either. The custodian heard something hitting the roof & called the police.

6. We have had military aircraft about yesterday in Bozeman, MT
Where I live, our main law enforcement headquarters is only 1-2 blocks away. Yesterday, several flights from helicopters were taken to and from the helipad that is behind the structure. There were at least 2 helicopters simultaneously in flight. I found this odd, but now I find it suspicious. Watch out, and get into cryptographic software usage if things get too suspicious for you.

16. Sounds like...
they are preparing for martial law if the election fraud lockdown blows wide open when Arnebeck files his lawsuit. I have no doubt these guys wouldn't hesitate to shoot people to quell public outrage. Note they've already started calling election fraud protesters "dissidents" in news articles. Before long, it'll be "round up the usual suspects." Yeah, we're free alright. <shakes head in disgust>

at Arnold Heights...(long abandoned) was being used by the Marines for house-to-house combat...rumor had it that it was training for the philippines

They have been there for months since the whole housing center was due for demolition anyway...it made a good place to train..

It's heavily guarded 24/7 and lit up like a baseball field at night..
There is also a lot of heavy equipment moving dirt around.

39. Why does dissident have such
a bad connotation?

Webster's Dictionary says;
1. a person who dissents
2. disagreeing or disenting, ain opinion or attitude.

So call me a dissident! I disagree w/ everything this administration stands for!

40. Posse Comitatus
Iraq is just a training exercise for what could be done here. SCOTUS wants to do away with the Posse Comitatus law and use the military for domestic purposes.

Read more here:

http://www.alternet.org/election04/20712/

"Regardless of the controversies and power struggles over the National Security Letters, Bush's Pentagon is sending U.S. military intelligent agents on domestic fishing expeditions. This past February, two U.S. Army intelligence agents descended upon the University of Texas law school in Austin. They entered the office of the Journal of Women and the Law and demanded that the editors turn over a roster of the people who attended a recent conference on Islam and women. The editors denied having a list; the behavior of one agent was described as intimidating. The agents then demanded contact information for the student who organized the conference, Sahar Aziz. University of Texas law professor Douglas Laycock commented, “We certainly hope that the Army doesn’t believe that attending a conference on Islamic law or Islam and women is itself ground for investigation.”

43. OK, hate to be that guy.
But this sounds funny. Did you actually see helicopters firing .50 cal rounds? What kind of helicopters?

I'm just suspicious because March is a pretty small base and I don't see them having a gunnery range there. I can't find anything on google about a gunnery range at March. Max range on a .50 is 4.22 miles, and they don't get fired except on very tightly controlled gunnery ranges way the hell away from everything and everyone. March ARB is only about 2,200 acres. I spent 8 years in the military, during part of which I sometimes dealt with range operations. There are much bigger bases than March that are considered far too small to fire that large a caliber on. I find it exceptionally hard to believe anyone's shooting live .50s in that area.

If you found an empty .50 round it's probably from a civilian shooter. What does it say on the back of the cartridge?

47. The government has spent billions on new crowd control technologies
including a microwave "heat ray" that will cook your insides; sound projectors, etc. There is no justification for this expenditure - done, BTW, out of public oversight with a one-party congress - EXCEPT for the eventual rounding up of all people labeled "threats" under the Patriot Act - that is to say every liberal and non-Christian in this country.

they've already won, with minimal bloodshed. The elections are rigged, the media only reports WH and other ultra-rw propaganda, we'll all pay our taxes in April, and no one can touch them on any of their increasingly overt crimes. No need for them to wake the sleeping dog that is the American electorate.
