About Mr. Blackwell... (and his kind)
I've had it up here with these "appointments" for positions of great power appointed by someone who knows damn well that the so-called "Morals of the situation" is about as tainted as washing a new pair of jeans with a snow-white table cloth.

I know in my heart that if ANY long-standing member of DU had a chance to appoint a Election supervisor and the fact was brought out that the appointee played a highly major role in the campaign of a Democrat, the response would be "I can't do that...No way Jose...it wouldn't be fair"

Apparently the powers that be in several states have about as much integrity as a hungry pit-bull with a new born kitten. I mean these Fuckers ramble on and on about moral values and then turn around and do the most unscrupulous actions known to mankind.

Anybody... and I mean Anybody, who has the job of protecting the integrity of the voting public should have the foresight and knowledge of the situation to excuse themselves from the position if they know the publics trust will be compromised (real or imagined).

At the Risk of Slander...Mr. Blackwell...You're a piece of human garbage.

my dear Malcolm X had a word to describe the condoleeza rices, blackwells, Clarence Thomas, and Colin Powells of this world...

House Negroes

His words are still the most eloquent and direct on this matter...

"There were two kinds of Negroes. There was that old house Negro and the field Negro. And the house Negro always looked out for his master... He ate better, he dressed better and he lived in a better house... If his master got sick, he'd say "What's the matter, boss, we sick? When the master's house caught afire, he'd try to put it out. He never wanted his master's property threatened. And he was more defensive of it than the master was.

The Field Negroes, though, "had nothing to lose." They wore the worst clothes, he said. They ate bad food and caught all kinds of hell. "If the master got sick, they'd pray that the master died. If the master's house caught afire, they'd pray for a strong wind to come along — that was the difference between the two." - Malcolm X
