My experience with two Dean supporters.... |
|
I posted on Dean's blog. I put in a quick word of encouragment, noting that Dukakis finished third in '88, then I put in a good word for Edwards.
Anonther responed to my post on the blog, calling Edwards "slime" among other things.
I emailed her and she just shot back with more names, and said if I ever emailed her again she will report me. I was nothing but nice in my email.
Then a Dean supporter emailed me from the blog, saying he would never support Dean and would vote Green over Edwards - and he told me to fuck off.
I understand the sore feelings, really I do. I just hope some Dean supporters don't harbor long-standing resentments.

It's not specific to any one campaign. I think it's partially a result of all of the negative attacks that have been flying around. Gephardt was the source for many of those attacks on Dems, so maybe the primary will calm down a bit now that he is bowing out.
