" . . . meddling in the internal affairs of Iraq is not in their interest" |
|
This was Mr. Bush's warning to Syria and Iraq--which I heard on the radio on my drive home. Gee, did it occur to the brain how ironic that sounds? Him warning nations not to meddle in the internal affairs of Iraq?
When I start to believe that the bar has been lowered to its penultimate depth, it creeps down yet another rung.

Medling in the affairs of other nations is the White Man's Burden and Bush is glad to take care of it.

syria is run by BAATHIST arabs. you expect them to sit there & take it? they know they're next!
they don't even need to work hard. all they need to do is equipt their minions & look the other way at the borders. its a 5 hour drive to the targets.
its not like president presenile dementia has dangled syria a carrot like he's given musharraf. he's all stick with damascus.
what a clusterfuck.

and that's the primary problem. By messing things up in Iraq we have damaged our own national security for decades to come.

7. It's the doctrine of "American Exceptionalism" |
|
Accordly, we are the greatest, the best, the most moral, the most generous, totally benign and do only good works, we are the world's only superpower so we can do whatever we want and everyone else has to do what we say.
Exceptionalim??? right. More like American Bully-ism. America, the Super-Bully.
