Poll question: What political action should I take now? |
|
I'm a hard worker, tax payer, political cause donor, letter writer, canvasser, and community activist that supports progressive initiatives.
What should I do now?
What's the #1 thing to do.

The art of doing nothing. Oh, that doesn't mean that we don't forward everything we know about voter fraud in our area to the appropriate people. It means we don't give the radical thieves an external enemy to focus on right now.
Deprived of an organized liberal threat, they will turn on their own moderates. Party purges always destroy the right. All we need to do is to be passive aggressive and wait for it to start happening.
The real fun is when the religious ones start pursuing orthodoxy within the ranks of the party. Consider the infighting that will happen as they try to decide whose orthodoxy to pursue.
In the meantime, catastrophe on top of disaster will cause some of their followers to start waking up. We just have to sit back right now and watch this play out.

3. Tell everyone you know that you're considering ... |
|
... moving to Canada, and explain why. The sheeple need to know that the smart folks (us, generally) are really not interested in participating in the destruction of America. We believe in democracy, but we don't have it. Canada does. We believe that everyone ought to have access to good health care, but the U.S. has over 45 million uninsured. Everyone gets health care in Canada. We believe in freedom, but in the U.S. we're losing our rights rapidly. Canada doesn't have this problem. Crime in the U.S. is rampant. In Canada, it's not. We believe only in the just use of military might. Canada has never launched an aggressive war against another nation (not since 1812, anyway, and they were part of the U.K. then).
and the list goes on ...
The sheeple need to hear the truth. America is becoming intolerable, and saying so is one of the most patriotic things one can do these days.

I keep hearing people say to stay and fight. I'm still going to fight the good fight and vote in the US elections if i leave but I need to protect my two young daughters from the economic devastation an 8 trillion dollar deficit and wars for profit will cause. I also need to protect them from being drafted and from fascism and theocracy.
When I complain about this country and someone says to love it or leave it, I agree with them. Buh-bye. Its been a long time since this country was a land of the free. Your are only free to support Bush, otherwise you are a traitor. This traitor is thinking of getting out before leaving becomes illegal too. If we had strong leadership in our party I might be en-heartened to stick it out longer, but that is simply not the case and I don't want to gamble my kids well-being on the likes of Al From and the DLC.
Talking the wife into moving has been my big obstacle so far, not any reluctance on my part.

7. Join DFA, volunteer locally, run for office, or support someone |
|
else who will run for office.
One thing is clear: The many people who do nothing but post on message boards and fantasize about 2008 are actually doing nothing.
So get involved for 2006! :hi:
