This Kerik story won't go away. Now I see why.

I'm watching the Countdown, and Olberman is lamenting the resignation. He's wondering how many more juicy stories that are still to come out regarding Kerik's love life.

Washington hasn't had a good-juicy-sex laden scandal since Clinton.

There was also a Washington Post reporter on who looks like he's about to cry.

The media needs sex. Sex breaks open the story. Sex keeps the story going.

Right now it's all Kerik, all the time.

If Chimpy were ever to become embroiled in a sex scandal, his teflon would come flying away.

I'm not sitting around waiting for that to happen.

However, I think it's a sad state of affairs when the only way the press will start digging and doing investigative work is when sex is involved.

If you bring up a real scandal it gets complicated and hard to explain. You might get accused of bias. A real scandal might implicate the owner of your media outlet or one of its major advertisers. Sex scandals are the easiest and most convenient to cover. It sells papers too.

If you only count the sexual affairs of Kerik, that might be juicy to some, but I could not care less since it has more to do with his PERSONAL life.
It is his total disregard of ethics in relation to his OFFICE that I find so blatantly offensive.
Allegedly using the apartment that was donated to the firefighters for 9/11 for illicit sexual liasons is offensive for obvious reasons.
If he had his trists somewhere else, I could give a hang.
