Does anyone here listen to Franken on a regular basis?
I used to but became very annoyed when I saw that he was completely discounting any incidence of fraud in this election. He may have changed his tune since I last listened, though.

Does anyone know if he's saying anything at all about it?

1. Boy, I sure listened today!
Kathryn and Joe Conason were great - they spoke with David Brock, Pariser of MoveOn, and a constitutional rights lawyer.

Loved every minute of it.

When Al's there, I listen off and on. I favor Unfiltered, Randi and Mike Malloy.

11. I like Conason A LOT.
Thought his questions were excellent. And that VOICE! (swoon) sexy!

2. right now he is o'er there
but they have mentioned the recount.

Look as RR put it, he is preparing his Senate race and quite honestly, he strikes me as a DLC tool. I listen to hiim due to the interviews and the guests mostly, not him

3. This has bothered me, too

But if he's going to run for the Senate in Minnesota next time, he's got to pick his spots very carefully. Annoying? Sure. Realistic? You bet. If he goes after this issue the way we'd like, he'll be nailed as a tinfoil mad hatter and never be able to shed the image.

Bottom line is that I decided to cut him some slack and enjoy that his guests have the forum he so richly invested in. He was pivotal in getting AAR off the ground.

5. I think I agree with you, Eleny.
I make sure to keep him on in the background, listening to him on and off. He did and has contributed greatly to AAR's success. Remember, for awhile, he was an 'involuntary investor.' And ...he gets it all sorts of publicity. I appreciate his work. He's a bit centrist for me, but we are a Big Tent Party. I happen to be from the Progressive Wing. He happens to be from the DLC-like wing. We're big enough to see things differently - cooperate on the election of certain Dems.

7. I'm listening to the Lionel show now
And his centrist/independent positions aren't left enough for me, either. But I find it a change from Malloy's heaviness. Sometimes I just need the break. And now I look forward to Lionel's insight. For instance, tonight he's talking about Kerik and it's been interesting.

8. There's some interesting streaming audio if you can do that
At the top of DU's Latest page there are links for radio programs. There's Lyn Cullen who's on out of Pittsburg. And there's Thomm Hartmann on at the same time. But maybe you're at work and can't listen to audio on the net.

10. Actually, I work from home and can have radio, TV or live stream
but its still pretty much a wasteland. I've seen the links at the top of the DU pages. Maybe I'll try a few.

Thanks!

9. Franken has taken the position of getting all the evidence first
Edited on Wed Dec-15-04 11:54 PM by zulchzulu
I agree. Yes, there definitely are problems and more are being documented daily. But the evidence is not all in. I'd rather have tempered, measured assessments than screaming tinfoil hat tirades on the issue.

The truth will come out. It always does eventually.

There are also PLENTY of other issues to focus on as well.

That being said, I like Randi, Sam's and Mike Malloy's tirades too. Hell, all of AAR has something to bite on. Oh, except for that Saturday Night show with whatshisname.

Heck, Al even made me want to do a fake Bill O'Reilly impersonation for that contest.

Interesting that you shared this tonight. I was just thinking about Rep. Conyers and how quiet he is. He's pretty heroic these days.

13. Neil Rogers
Franken is BORING.

Neil from 10-2 Eastern time. Then Day Glo Radio (80's with attitude). Then Randi.

Criminey, I'm just writing this to get my post numbers up . . . Why am I doing this?
