I am instituting the civilian award to those in our military who best exemplify the bravery of USMC Gen. Smedley D. Butler in criticizing the military.

I hereby nominate Army Spec. Thomas Wilson, who recently and meritoriously dared to speak up to his commanding bureaucrat and ask pertinent questions which ultimately will save lives.

For this distinguished service to his fellow servicemen and women, he best exemplifies the fighting spirit needed to serve the higher goals of truth and justice which our country should be fighting for.
