1. We can do both! Unlike many Republicans, we're able to |

walk and chew gum at the same time.

2. True, but some serious evil is going on in DC. |
|
It might even blow up into something very entertaining to watch. It would be a shame to miss the implosion of Bushism becuase we're all mad at each other. ;)
PS: I'm not saying we should stop picking on Democrats entirely. Just wanted to remind people that there's something dark going on in Bushland.

in progress.the barney christmas greeting to the world is a clear image of hubris in melt down. when evil has no good to battle, it begins to consume itself. rove throwing blue balls off the tree, laura with the black cat and dog, clinton's portrait taken down, the coming inaguration to be the most expensive in history while the country is in serious distress. i have little optimism that things will change quickly, but the darkness has little light to feed upon now

They really screwed that one up. They've set Gonzales up to have the shit kicked out of him at least a little.

8. We have kept a close eye on the Republicans/Bushies... |
|
Edited on Thu Dec-16-04 05:09 PM by Q
...for 12 years now. But it seems that while we were watching them...the Democrats decided that they would try an end run with the 'third way' strategy of selling off bits and pieces of the party. Now they're called GOP-lite and the Democrats have suffered the worst defeats in the history of the party.
Eight years of defending Clinton and then Gore against the RWing / Corporate Media Witch Hunt. Four years of watching the New Democrats give the Bushies everything they've ever wanted. We wouldn't have to spend all this time watching the crooked Bush* White House if the Democratic leadership gave us a true opposition party

Just a word to the wise that the Bushist cracks are showing and it's going to be very interesting to watch it fall in on itself.

The Repubs are destroying much of what we hold dear, & we sent the Boy Scouts to take them on.

12. I agree. But while we're scuffling with each other |
|
(and many Dems deserve every blow they're getting), the Bushists seem to be about to provide some extraordinary entertainment, if you like watching train wrecks.

13. But we've been predicting a train wreck since 2000. |
|
There certainly has been enough to bring them down, but they just won reelection.
Can it get any worse than a war based on total fabrication & deception?

14. I think it will only get worse and worse and worse. |
|
The war, the economy--but also the threads on the otherside are beginning to show. The Kerik appointment was a major blunder, not just because of his nonexistent "nanny problem" and the very real screwing around. Those may actually keep public and media attention on it--nothing like a good sex scandal to keep the cameras on. But Kerik has some Iraq on him, too. I think the longer the media stay focused on him, the more filth they're going to find, and it's going to come back and find the Bushists. Bernie Kerik IS their corrupt post-Iraq "policy."
It could become a very revoltingly fascinating show.

I was sure no WMDs would do the trick
I was sure Valerie Pflame would do the trick
I was sure the 9/11 hearings & Rice's lying testimony would do the trick
Etc.

16. I wasn't sure about any of those, frankly. |
|
I thought the WMD would get them in trouble with the voters, and it didn't. I thought Plame might deliver an indicted admin figure, and it may, but I never had hopes it would bring the whole administration down. I could be wrong about Kerik, but I think the longer he's in the public's mind, the worse it will be for the Bushists, because it's got the added element of sex. That seems to be the only ingredient of scandal Americans get all bothered about anymore.
