16. I'm not quite ready to kick out Bill Clinton...
Al Gore, John Kerry, John Edwards or any of the other DLC officeholders. You're talking about approximately half of the current Democratic senators, governors, mayors, and house members. They may not be as "progressive" as the majority of DUers, but they're a part of the party too and I'd kinda like to keep them.

6. Michael Moore was an independent, I believe.
As for the DLC, I'd just like to see them become insignificant--and I think they can accomplish that on their own very well.

1. Show us where the DLC has attacked everything they've stood for. List them. Then show that the dems you mentioned were for them.

2. Based on the record of Kucinich, you have a strange idea of what "the greatest democrat" should be.

Ignorant folks who repeat the same charges over and over, without being able to back them up. DU would empty out, but the DP would be better off for it.

47. you've done a lot of DU bashing today...i thought it was just isolated
to the thread that i started. here's a clue- just because you disagree with something, doesnt make it stupid. sometimes, the truth hurts. and the truth is that the DLC and their corporatist, whorish ways will be our undoing.

15. Well, thank God that Michael Moore is a free agent
and will continue speaking out no matter how much whining Al From does.

I don't think it's actually possible to kick someone out of the party. No one can pick and choose what someone else's party registration is. I mean, Richard Perle is actually registered as a Democrat even.

That said, I don't think that the Democratic party should allow the DLC to represent itself as the party's primary voice. They can represent themselves for what they are, one particular interest group, out of many different ones, within the party.

If they become the official voice of what the party stands for, then I'm out of there.

and these type of posts, unfortunately, bring out the worst in me. But damnit, I'm sick of the divisive crap-threads that "genius" and others post.

I spoke to the admins and told them that the continuation of them would result in some major flame wars.

And I was correct.
