Tomasky and Conason dismissing Dean as DNC chair on O'Franken |
|
What the hell?
Dean is very very good on TV (compared to most TV Democratic pundits), is a proven fundraiser, understands that framing the argument is the problem with Dems, has real balls, and WANTS the job!!
Why oh why oh why can't Democrats ever figure out what would be good for them?
Two callers in a row endorsed Dean, said the people of the Democratic party want him.
Tomasky dismissed Dean as too "divisive" and said flat out Dean won't get it. They discussed a bunch of no-name nobodies I'd never heard of as possibilities.
(Conason also said Kerry raised more $ than Dean "in the end". Well, sure, when Kerry was the only Democrat in the race)
I like Kerry a lot, but what is with the fear of Dean? Dean stopped throwing bombs at the Dems as soon as he stopped running for the nomination, and has been carrying water for them, hard, ever since.
Does not compute.

3. I don't think the DNC realizes that Dean is the ONLY hope of them staying |
|
alive. Without him, they are dead. End of DNC for all intents. A new party will arise - just like they did long ago when we had a Wigg Party. I don't know if it will be Green or Independent - but it will happen.

I'll be 70 in March. I am tired of voting for the lesser of 2 evils. I want a party that protects the advances of FDR, that remembers the depression, that understands the class warfare in this country, that remembers our root and values our principles, but most of all I want a head of this party that has the balls to counter our "nothing to see here" media with the unabashed TRUTH ABOUT OUR ISSUES. Dean is the man!!

That's one of Dean's great strengths - he really seems to understand what is going on with the media.

Dean is not divisive. The people who are afraid of the changes we want to make are divisive.
Did you ever notice how truly stupid conventional "wisdom" seems? These guys are living with an old party model and they don't realize the ground has shifted all around them...whether Dean runs for DNC chair or not.
