5. here is what is funny
in the year 9/11 occurred time was going to pick bin laden as person of the year but backed down because they were threatened by people that they would stop their subscription etc. That in itself showed exactly how much bin laden had changed the world in this case for ill

now the media has been transformed in the corporate/government media because of all of it

I would hope anyone who still is against the instanity of * would cancel their subscription to time, and boycott aol/time-warner and cnn

They do not report the news, but only what the corporation and the administration want them to

6. Time shamed itself and the nation when they put
Shrub on the cover. They should have put a headline We Sold Out at the top.

This is the address for letters to the editor. Here is my letter to them:
Dear Time,

I am disheartened that you would choose Bush as person of the year. How frustrating that the media is still not telling the truth about this man. He has lied his way into war on false pretences. If you think everyone was fooled by the evidence try reading some of Robert Byrd’s speeches on the floor before the war started. He stated flatly that the evidence was hyped. Most people paying attention, as a matter of fact, knew the evidence was hyped. The media, however, choose to ignore the proof of hype presented by Byrd, Scott Ritter, General Zitti, members of the CIA. Many were saying “there are no weapons” but the media only choose to report the official government line. This is dangerous. When dissent is ignored fascists rise to power and allow corporations to control the government. Bush is a dangerous man. He is not informed and relies on neo-conservatives to give him directions. They are leading him and this country down a path of war and destruction. He is responsible for the death of many Americans and tens of thousands of Iraqis. How dare you honor this imbecile? This is a slap in the face to us and the world.
I’ll never buy another Time magazine again. Promise.
Sharon B...

PS. The people did not choose Bush again. First they didn’t choose him in 2000 and 2004 the election was stolen again. This time the truth is being documented as I write and will come out in a few weeks to a few months. You may be embarrassed to have not seen his fall on the way.

15. Even After the Medal of Freedom Thing
I think this selection is really wrong after Bush gave the Congressional Medal of Freedom to Paul Bremer and George Tenet. They should have picked someone else like Howard Dean.

16. Is "Rag" another name for Bullshit Propaganda to save one's ass????
Time Magazine is owned by Time-Warner, who also owns CNN who is part of the cable cartel that fixed our primaries, trashed Kerry and protected their native son, Bush to this day.

Guess the election is over and Time-Warner (parent Co. of CNN) has settled on paying the SEC 510 Million dollars as a settlement stemming from the Income Stock/advertising AOL fraud case that the Gov. has been hanging over their heads for the last 1.5 years.

The selection of Bush as Person of the Year is probably the difference between Time-Warner paying 510 million vs. 4 billion for the fraud it committed. Costly deal...but what's a multinational media corporation to do when the Governmnet has you by the balls?

To be honest, I don't give a rat's ass that Time Magazine selected *; nor what Time Magazine thinks; nor what they report. It's all bullshit and propaganda anyways. I'll leave it up to the Sheeples to find this "person of the year" turd food to be interesting and thought provoking.

Time Warner Settles AOL Fraud Charges
Thu Dec 16, 7:55 AM ET
Media giant Time Warner Inc. agreed Wednesday to pay $510 million to settle government charges of accounting fraud at its troubled America Online unit, freeing the company to use its stock for acquisitions.

settlement would remove the uncertainty clouding the future of the world's largest entertainment company accused by regulators of inflating the advertising revenue of its Internet service provider.

Wall Street had been expecting a deal, because Time Warner set aside $500 million last month to resolve problems with the government. Time Warner stock has climbed more than 15% since.

The two-pronged agreement would be with both the Justice Department (news - web sites) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (news -web sites). It must be approved by SEC commissioners.

Wall Street analysts had been prepared a year ago for the accounting debacle to cost Time Warner as much as $4 billion in penalties and litigation. But Chief Executive Richard Parsons took a hard stance with regulators, refusing to admit guilt even though that might have more quickly resolved the investigations.
