"Some Repubs say Frist would like Rove to run his 2008 White House bid"
Some Republicans no longer feel tethered to the president politically, as they did in the 2002 midterm elections and this year. Other senators, including Majority Leader Bill Frist (Tenn.), Chuck Hagel (Neb.), John McCain (Ariz.) and George Allen (Va.), will be animated by White House ambitions of their own.

Bush certainly has powerful allies on the Hill. Frist in many ways owes his leadership job to the president and Rove, who helped orchestrate the Tennessee physician's rise to power. Some Republicans say Frist would like Rove to run his 2008 White House bid, which would provide the party leader even more incentive to please the White House in the 109th Congress.

1. well, from Frist's POV, it's a good move
Rove has beaten us twice now (well, not really, but it's the result that matters...)

3. I'd LOVE for Frist to choose Rove as a running mate
and I'd love for them to win the nomination. THAT is a deadly combo that we could definitely beat. Imagine being able to hold Rove accountable in the court of public opinion for all of his dirty deeds. Not to mention, he's TOTALLY unqualified to be a heart beat away from the presidency. He doesn't know how to do anything but sling shit. Even the GOP knows that.

4. A very fitting marriage
Frist has shown that he has no scruples, so he would pair up nicely with the lizard.

5. I believe Rove stated in a few interviews
that this was his last campaign.

7. I read those interviews, and he was not emphatic about that
I don't know how many interviews he did, but I read two, and both of them were careful to say that the "right" campaign could keep him in the game.

Frist is widely despised by many. If he even comes CLOSE to a serious shot at the candidacy, let alone the presidency, it will be because Rove (or one of his disciples) props him up. Frist completely lacks charisma, and he's one sick motherf**ker. He will need a "machine" behind him, a "take no prisoners" machine. I hope and pray that he doesn't get it. As bad as Bush is, I can easily see Frist being much worse.

6. God....I hope so
If Rove runs his operations, that means he'll win. We can do alot worse off than Frist being our nominee

9. If Rove could get the Chimp into the White House twice
guess he could get anybody elected.
