I just heard on the news that the guys who were injured
in the mess tent bombing the other day are in Germany, and the ones who are well enough will get to be home in time for the holidays! Wow, so this is the only way to get out of Iraq? I think if I was over there, I'd be thinking real hard about inflicting a flesh wound on myself. A trip to Germany, and then a quick trip home.

8. Might I suggest then...
That since you are too old, and since when you were young enough, women were not being deployed to front-line positions, and that since your perceptions are likely filtered through the flawed lens of the MSM, you might want to cut some of these kids, especially those being deployed for their second round in The Sandbox, a little slack.

Because honey, you don't know shit about what they know. What they have had burned into their souls. That said, it wouldn't hurt for you to learn. Why not go to OpTruth and learn, instead of just letting fly with flawed opinions on a forum?

I didn't have to serve in The Nam. But I listened to too many of my friends, when they kinda returned, and then I watched too many of them kill themselves, either quickly or slowly. But they are just are dead, because war sucks. It is an unnatural act and no one who fights in one isn't a victim. It's just the degree of symptoms that is different. But they are all symptomatic.

14. Yeah well, maybe they didn't expect to have an insane dipshit CiC
leading them into FUBAR missions w/o proper equipment when they signed up.

16. We go to war with the CiC we have, not the one we would want...
LoL...I'm sorry I had to throw that in there. It was just ripe for the picking.

Now, on a more serious note, self inflicted wounds are not necessarily gonna get someone sent home from the war, unless the wounds are sufficient to cause serious damage. Then, the soldier would be seeing the brig far sooner than his/her family.

5. How sad................
two more victims from that terrible mistake. Only you're not counted in any statistics. Think how many more suffered the same fate, and how many will suffer the same fate for Bush's Iraq fiasco.
You have my heartfelt sympathy.

11. None of them are going to die
According to the news radio this p.m., all of the wounded who made it to Germany are going to survive, although I have no idea how injured/disabled they might be.

Thanks be.
