Perfect example of the problem with rethugs
Here is a quote from a rethug senator from a story at MSNBC.com regarding Bush's divisive renomination of extremist judges who have been filibustered by the Dems.

“The dynamics of 2006 are in play here,” Cornyn said. “Those Democratic senators up for re-election in states Bush did very well in have to be looking at what happened to Tom Daschle in South Dakota and wondering if the same fate is in store for them if they continue to obstruct and prevent up or down votes on the president’s nominees.”

1. No senator should cash in his principles to get reelected in favor of doing what is right on such an important issue. This, apparently, is a rethug philosophy that they pull out when it suits them. Bush, on the other hand, is championed for taking us down hell's road not because it has worked out so well, but because it indicates that he "stands by his principles."

2. As if rethugs give a flying monkey's butt about what the public thinks as they ram unnecessary wars, irresponsible tax cuts, huge pork barrel spending, the dismantling of SSI, and extremist laws down the throats of the public, then lie about it.

Rethugs are the very essence of hypocrisy. Too bad the public is too dumb to notice.
