Bumper Sticker: Bush / Orwell '04 Ignorance Is Strength |
|
Eleanor Clift mentions in her latest column that this is a popular bumper sticker around Washington. Does anyone know where I could order one? (I know I could make my own, but I'm lazy.)
I've seen the stickers that just say "Ignorance Is Strength" but I haven't seen one that also has "Bush/Orwell '04" on it.

1. You know what's really sad? |
|
Repubs would probably actually AGREE with that statement:"Ignorance is Strength".

But as I said, I was looking for the sticker that has both "Bush/Orwell '04" and "Ignorance Is Strength".

5. I've seen the Bush/Orwell '04 ... but nothing else on it. |
|
It uses the same design as the Bush/Cheney '04 stickers. I'm not sure adding another line of text would make for a very legible sticker on the road.

I fear that around here most people seeing it would think it really was a pro-Bush sticker and the reference to Orwell would be over their heads.
Ignorance is Strength.

I've got to get one. It says:
"THE LAST TIME WE MIXED RELIGION WITH GOVERNMENT, WE WERE BURNING PEOPLE AT THE STAKE."

8. I never really got this bumpersticker |
|
I mean, Orwell wrote the books, so Orwell would be against such a government. It seems like "Bush/BB '04" or "Bush/O'Brian '04" would make a lot more sense.

I agree. I understand the use of "Orwellian" as an adjective, but Orwell personally was a socialist, with strong anarchist leanings (he did after all, fight for the POUM anarcho-syndicalist union during the Spanish Revolution).
