Women in combat
This is in reference to the column by Cal Thomas (Tribune, Dec. 22) in which he asserts that the newest threat to our military is allowing women in combat.
With all respect, I disagree. There are people in high places of government who are always ready and willing to place someone else's
son, daughter, father or whomever in the harm's way of war. May I suggest that the Bush twins be recruited and placed in combat in the ill-advised war in Iraq. The war would end tomorrow if this was so.
