That tactic has been SOP since the damn job boards were up and running. Same as going to job fairs, swinging by the unemployment office to check on people filing and picking up their checks, putting blind ads in papers (MACHINISTS WANTED, GOOD PAY, CALL 1-800-FUC-KYOU...that sort of thing).

You are right in one respect, though. The fact that they are getting SLOPPY about it indicates desperation...but the fact that they are doing it is just 'one more tool' in the recruiting toolbox.

Those guys can get very creative--they get their asses kicked when they don't make goal.
