Bush is a lame duck.
He is also the realization of Mencken's prophesy concerning the presidency and downright morons, but a lame duck nonetheless.

The next repuke we'll face for the presidency will likely distance himself from Dubya at all costs. I say we begin targeting each and every possible GOP candidate for the White House in 2008. Now.

4. They're positioning Senator Chuck Hagle of Nebraska.
Payback for his voting machine company, ES&S, which helped deliver the election to Shrub.

6. we need to
get our house in order first. We need to rebuild the progressive movement. We need to unite all the different factions in our party. We need to come up with a populist agenda to frame our beliefs in. Then we target the opposition.

9. We need to do BOTH
The GOP spin machine NEVER stops. This is a lesson to us. The whole "Merry Xmas/Happy Holidays" bs was planned to keep "the agenda" going, even at (for many people) the happiest, most non-political and sacred time of year.
