Chimp's aides use tsunami horror to attack Bill Clinton
Edited on Wed Dec-29-04 11:22 AM by lancdem
I just read this on Josh Marshall's blog, http://talkingpointsmemo.com

From the WaPo: White House spokesman Trent Duffy said the president was confident he could monitor events effectively without returning to Washington or making public statements in Crawford, where he spent part of the day clearing brush and bicycling. Explaining the about-face, a White House official said: "The president wanted to be fully briefed on our efforts. He didn't want to make a symbolic statement about 'We feel your pain.' "
Many Bush aides believe Clinton was too quick to head for the cameras to hold forth on tragedies with his trademark empathy. "Actions speak louder than words," a top Bush aide said, describing the president's view of his appropriate role.

Josh is pissed, and so am I. Yeah, empathy's a really bad thing, jerks. The president's SUPPOSED TO reassure the country. And Clinton did a helluva lot more than talk, too. I despise these people.

5. That's a BS excuse
On Monday, Duffy said there weren't any speechwriters with him, but that he was working on a "draft." Why did he feel the need to say that?

8. Chimpoids spinning to cover Chimpy's continuing cowardice
I guess Chimp needs to get all made up for his gala coronation balls where he will be bequeathed another Stolen Election Crown he can wear so proudly..like the coward he is.

I'm sure it would be too much for him to go to one of the most tragic human accidents to happen..he'd rather watch his own spawned tragedy in Iraq from some monitors in the Crawford Playroom.

10. We all know that * doesn't "feel our pain." Doesn't, in fact, give
a damn about it. But it's still irritating to hear his people taking unjustified swipes at Clinton. The man has been out of office for nearly 5 years now, and has shown considerably more class in talking about his political rivals. When Bush is criticized, he responds like a petulant child.

Yet another reminder of what moving to the right nets.
