WSJ and Wa Times pulled quite the CON; the UN never called US "stingy"
WSJ, Washington Times capitalize on tsunami tragedy.

As jaded as I am, it's still surprising to catch an American newspaper--even an ideological rag like the Washington Times--blatantly fabricating a story out of whole cloth.

But that's just what Bill Sammon did in today's edition.

His headline reads: 'U.N. official slams U.S. as 'stingy' over aid.'

But if you think somewhere in the piece there'd be a comment criticizing the U.S. for being, I dunno, 'stingy over aid,' you'd be wrong. Sammon couldn't pull a quote because the 'slam' simply never occured.

WSJ and WA Times, you rightwingnut TRASH.

1. Gee, what a surprise -- not
Lying is second nature to the repressive right. If they can't get the faithful stirred up over something, they fall back on the handy expedient called making shit up. Odd, though, that the media report the repressives as the "moral" bunch when they're so consistent in bearing false witness against their neighbors in service of a political point. I'm almost sure that's against one of God's laws they're so fond of posting everywhere. They'd do better to read a little more, and talk a lot less.

2. It's an OUTRAGE!
One of very many...but when our so-called MEDIA MAKES SHIT UP, we're no longer a democracy.

The entire mainstream media, EVEN NPR! -are debating the plus/minus of the UN doing something that the UN NEVER DID!

No wonder so many Americans are the most ignorant beings on the face of this planet.

3. I did notice that WSJ had an apology story up on NOAA
Why we couldn't possibly warn countries that weren't in the established system that a tsunami was coming. They got the 'cover your ass' story up before they got a condolence appearance out of *. What a f*cked up sense of priorities. No wonder our prestige in the world is at an alltime low.
