What's this I hear about a CSPAN style network on cable? |
|
What will it be called? My local paper says that Congress is already getting ready by saying they will limit discussion on some bills.
Hell, I don't want television to alter what I'm seeing in government. I just want television to record it for me. Great, they'll all be wearing makeup now.

2. Yes, what will they think of next |
|
Actually, it's supposed to be CSPAN-esque without being CSPAN. Perhaps they're trying to come up with somethiing your average Joe Shmoe will watch.

4. Is it just the Congress part of C-SPAN they're duplicating? |
|
That bores me stiff. Along with the White House crap. I'd love a channel that put on more think tank events and policy speeches, though.
Also, a Supreme Court channel would absolutely rock, but the justices don't seem to want it.

5. Oh hell, it's a local thing! D'oh! I should have looked first |

I just pulled out the article in my local paper. Our local legislature is getting their own local CSPAN. Lucky them. They're reacting by talking about limiting debate and trying to appear more civil.
Eh. I still don't like it.
