Why No Pix of Bush Biking, Relaxing, Clearing Brush on his "Ranch"?

It's unusual. No photos have been available except the Crawford football team photo-op on Sunday and shots from the canned speech yesterday. Usually we get a slew of pix of Bush clearing brush in his cowboy suit and prancing around in his spandex bike-riding outfit. Here's an old one:

Does the WH PR operation realize perchance that it is UNSEEMLY for the leader of the free world to be bike-riding when 100,000 people have just been wiped from the face of the earth? I keep searching Yahoo but no new pix. It's odd.

But they had no qualms about announcing what he was up to. I guess that was before they realized how callous and inhumane it sounds. This president lacks simple human decency. It's obscene.

CRAWFORD, Texas - Besides monitoring the devastating earthquake in Southeast Asia, President Bush is biking and strolling around his ranch here and pondering tax reform and other goals in his second term.

"He's clearing some brush this morning," deputy White House press secretary Trent Duffy said Tuesday, adding that the president and first lady also planned to host friends at the ranch.

"He's doing some biking and exercising as he normally does, taking walks with the first lady, and thinking about what he wants to accomplish in the second term."

*edit* I'd also like to know, WHY was the speech yesterday pre-taped? Is the President incapable of speaking live in front of cameras about this epic disaster? Will someone please ask the WH why they went with a canned, pre-taped speech? For what reason?

I mentioned on another thread yesterday that I too was concerned about the audio, then a "video" O-fishal Prez comment, yet all his stump speeches were live during the campaign.

What the HELL is going on? And why isn't the media asking the hard questions for ME. Accckkkkkk.

13. Is there a news article that states that the speech was pre-taped

It's obvious from viewing it - when they cut to another angle the audio doesn't match the video. Is there any documentation that the speech was not shown live? I searched news sources but didn't run across anything. It's very, very odd that they would pre-tape the speech.

I haven't, not once, even though the PR core keeps saying he bikes. I find that strange if there aren't any but maybe I just missed seeing some that have been taken.

I can't search archives right now but I did post some on a thread in response to the whining about Kerry's windsurfing. He rides a Trek mountain bike. There were shots of him going up a dirt road with a Secret Service guy. I might have saved to harddrive but no way to upload. Happy to email if I can find them.
