Clark campaign email - 1/19/04 |

Thought I'd share: January 19, 2004
Message from Wes Clark on Martin Luther King's Birthday Celebration
Today, we come together to honor Dr. Martin Luther King -- a force of love who taught us that hatred and prejudice have no place in the laws of a great nation or the souls of a great people.
Forty years ago, hundreds of thousands of Americans convened in our Capitol to march with Dr. King and hear his dream for our nation. On that hot August day, citizens from across our country who yearned for justice linked arms, and pledged together in song: We Shall Overcome.
Forty years later, the sad fact is that we still have much to overcome. Black Americans are twice as likely to be out of a job, twice as likely to live in poverty, and a third less likely to have health care. We must work together to fix the pervasive inequality in our society. And I'm not going to rest until every single American can cast their vote and make their voice heard.
Half a century ago, Dr. Martin Luther King led us in a great struggle to redeem the promise of our Constitution for all our people -- to create a nation where all of us are truly judged not by the color of our skin, but by the content of our character.
Today, it's up to us to continue his work. Together, we can make his dream come true.
Wes Clark

You say I shouldn't put up campaign propaganda on DU. Well, if you right-click 'Properties', on you Dean sig, you will get this link:
deanforamerica.com/images/content/pagebuilder/20216.gif
At least I don't link any images directly from the Clark site. I host the Clark04 logo on my image server.
So, you were saying...

I thought I transferred that one over.
But about yours...
ON EDIT: Corrected. It is now on my server. But you were the one who initially brought it up:
DU is not a poster board for yours or anyone else's campaign materials. Hence "Underground".
So what gives with saying that and hotlinking to Dean's web site for campaign materials?

20. My point was not about sig lines |
|
And I clicked on it because it's on the board - and it could have something slanderous to say about mine or someone else's candidate.
Soon as I realized this was a reprint of an entire newsletter, I stopped reading. Post a paragraph or two and provide a link next time - DU does have copyright rules.

24. I don't believe they have a problem with me posting the whole thing |
|
Besides, what am I going to link it to? My email box?
I doubt Clark's gonna sue me for reprinting part of their campaign emails. Besides, no copyright disclaimers on the email.
Sounds like sour grapes to me.
