3. It's the cheerleader thing, and completely understandable
In times of crisis most people feel comfortable and consoled when they are among their own. He's only dealing with his grief over the victims in the most presidential way he knows how, by going back to his roots, by stirring up that ol' U.S.A. team spirit.

Seriously, Stephanie, cut him some slack. Remember after 9/11 when he said that Osama bin Laden could run, but he could not hide? That he would smoke him out of his cave? That he was wanted, dead or alive?

WELL, we GOT him, didn't we?

What's that? We DIDN'T? Bush said that he "wasn't concerned" over OBL?

Errr...never mind. My bad.
