OK I think we need to learn the difference between Bashing and
Disagreement.

To help you understand the difference I will use my favorite candidate.

If I say - Wesley K. Clark is a lunatic. That would be a BASH!

If I say - Wesley K. Clark doesn't have the experience to be President. That would be a criticism/disagreement.

I think sometimes we get way to sensitive around here. We don't read posts thoroughly and we don't seek to understand. We mostly read what we want to hear and then throw the word BASH around when someone says something we don't agree with about our chosen candidate.

Let's be for real here people. We don't have to have 100% agreement, that is re-thug. We do, however need understanding, that is what makes us different and better than the wingnuts.

Do y'all catch my drift?

4. If a non Clark supporter repeatedly goes into Clark threads
and criticizes it resembles bashing - or at least stalking or trouble making....

6. You know we have to be as mature as the people we support...
I know there are people who like to make trouble. We can't control that, type of person.

We have to recognize however, that there will be and needs to be constructive criticism and disagreement.

The same thing goes to people who go into Dean threads. We're big boys and girls. We know when people are being constructive and when they are being destructive.

But when we as passionate supporters jump off the deep end and go ballistic when people are just disagreeing then we gotta check ourselves. I'd hope Clark people would tell me when I'm getting out of line and Dean supporters would tell their folks when they are getting out of line.

We aren't doing our guys any good if we aren't good representatives of their policies & views.

5. xultar, I agree with you but I think there is alot of immaturity on this
site these days. I saw someone use the most foul attacking language against ailsagirl a few days ago when she suggested something to do with amazon.com and it led to one very decent poster dropping off of DU. This is pathetic especially when freepers and others who don't like our message are watching us and laughing.

7. I am so annoyed with the behavior here @ DU over the past few
months. Some folks have become down right NASTY. At first I decided to leave. Then I thought I'm not going to let some nasty folks @ DU prevent me from getting the word on what the movement is doing.

Now I will call'em like I see'em and I look for people behaving innapropriately. If they aren't following the rules I hit alert. I've got no problem doing that.

If we are going to win this fight against the right we are going to need as many people as we can get. I won't let some rude mofos interfere with the greater good where this thing is concerned.

Can you PM me her email addy. I'd love to talk to her and see if I can get her to come back.

thinking how the name "democrat" is part of this website's name and if we all bail, we let the rudeness, division, whining and attacking behavior create the image on the web for "democrats". We have to find a way to rise above this behavior.

I need to look around to see if I can get the contact I had for her. I do believe she already quit DU ...which is sad. I wish I knew the name of the jerk who attacked her.

On second thought, could you email me here on DU and send me an email address that you would like me to send to her for you? I have a way to get that to her. Thanks. Your privacy will be protected.

8. You can't engage in debate with people who are in a perpetual
state of E over I. People who bash are brave sitting at their computer creens. Bet they aren't as courageous in person.

Glad you didn't leave for good. Don't take morans opinions personal. Remember, some of them are children.

11. Thank you.
I got attacked for asking if Clark had changed his position on depleted uranium and the School of the America. These were important issues for me and part of the reason I did not back him in the primaries, though I would have voted for him if he got the nomination. People need to be less touchy when people bring up their candidates positions on issues. Sometimes candidates learn and improve their positions and no one will know if it is not discussed.
