BIG WHAT IF... someone stands with Coyers and a Senator gets some |
|
guts and contest the election. What exactly will be the process? Will Chaney be in charge of the candy store (sort of speaking) while we revote on who runs the candy store?
I've been trying to find the answer on my own and can't seem to find it.
thanks

1. A new President is sworn in with no national security team during a war |
|
It could be a major or minor disaster. It's a little too late to overturn the results now. If it was going to happen it should have happened a month ago. It takes time to plan a transition.
That's why I wish people would take the focus off Ohio in 2004 and focus on the fact that fraud and disenfranchisement is happening all over and needs to be dealt with in a more serious way.

The website www.uscountvotes.org is doing just that, attempting to address election fraud. It's not a silver bullet but it's a step in the right direction. IF you want to get involved just sign up, we're looking for people with any amount of free time available...

So the house then chooses the President. Gosh, I wonder who they might select?
The contest in this case would be at least a historic rebuke of the fraudulent president, although, as you've pointed out, it would have no other meaningful impact on who will actually take office on inauguration day. Just another footnote in the history books for the most footnoted president ever.

5. It would be the Demo equivalent of the Repos impeachment of Clinton |
|
It won't change the outcome but it will frame the context.
As far as I can tell the Clinton impeachment didn't hurt the Republicans a bit, even though they knew the Senate would acquit.
The Demos would be smart to push it and call fraud, even though they know bush will enthroned by the Republican Congress.
