Now THAT would be something worth looking into. It might not be, but I don't claim to know DC law...

3. LOL. I've been telling family to look at Gitmo if I don't return from DC. |
|
...and I just plan to hold a basic sign and scream!

4. How about a mock jail? |
|
Rather than a hanging? Put him in jail for war crimes and election fraud.

a great idea! All of this is free speech. It should not be prohibited in anyway. You might want to look into restrictions on signs or other large items that come with the permit authorizing your protest. I'd love to hear what you come up with. Are you all planning on doing this DC or elsewhere?

I am extremely limited on funds, so it may be my last chance to travel for a while, but I will ALWAYS work in the community or wherever I can. I will do my best to be there on the 20th, but hopefully I will have a job by then!
edit: removed irrelevant comments because I thought this was from another thread.

8. It might indeed be very unsafe. Those in jail cannot help any cause |

anymore.
Also it seems to me that we (we here in Europe, also) should not only protest but try and get more sympathizers to our cause. The best way to achieve this in my opinion is to show the victims and not the perpetrators. I'd find a whole big procession of Abu-Guraib-victims absolutely fascinating - all in these black hoods with wire cables dangling... Unfortunately it's a little cold for bare legs right now *g*
on edit: When I go protesting over here however I'm going to dress as conservatively as possible though - just a VERY ordinary citizen being very worried shall be my message. Makes it easier for the so far non-caring people to associate I hope.

There are a lot of very good protest ideas from over there! Thanks for the help!
