Frist said he's going to the tsunami area
He announced in ont he floor of the Senate. Sorry, I don't have a link.

Said he's going to Sri Lanka and I forget if he said Indonesia and/or Thailand.

I thought the UN and the countries invovled asked that governments NOT send people to "look".

5. Of course, he is. I knew he'd have a fit when he heard about Jeb.
Frist thinks he's got the inside track for 2008. This was the BFEE saying they've already anointed a successor. It just makes my heart go pitter patter to think this may cause just the teensiest bit of dissension in the ranks.

There's no good reason for Frist to go. There isn't even a good reason to send Jeb. It's photo op garbage.

Of course, if Frist could save a life or two...nah. Still doesn't make up for the cats.

2. I hope he stays
The people need a "hands-on" kind of guy to help out.

It would be best for everyone if he just stayed.

I'll help him pack.

They do not need "looky lous" they need physicians to go to work 24/7 and HELP!

Hopefully he can clear his busy schedule and leave on the first plane out.

You know, $$$ is what REALLY counts. Anyone know how much money Frist has personally contributed? I'm sure it's something, but it would be interesting to know how much.

25. Yup...he's a confessed cat killer.
From the TroyRecord website:

Frist acknowledged in a 1989 book that he routinely killed cats while an ambitious medical student at Harvard Medical School in the 1970s. His office said it had no record on how many cats died. Frist disclosed that he went to animal shelters and pretended to adopt the cats, telling shelter personnel he intended to keep them as pets. Instead he used them to sharpen his surgical skills, killing them in the process.

28. When Frist was in med school he used to go to local humane
shelters and "adopt" cats and kittens. He would fill out the forms and listen to the instructions just like any eager owner-to-be. Then he took them to his lab, experimented on them and eventually killed them. Frist has admitted this, said he felt bad or something like that.
"Cat-killer" is too nice for him, IMO.
Sorry, rant over.

Or for an opportunity for the family business to defraud the US government out of a few billions of dollars again.

since his family owns this country's largest for-profit hospital chain. Frist gives me the heebie jeebies - even his smile is eerie.

No doubt, he thinks he will be president some day.

TWO US DELEGATIONS DUE THIS WEEK

By Muhammad Saleh Zaafir

ISLAMABAD: Amid growing interest in resolving disputes between Pakistan and India by the US administration, two high-stature US Congressional delegation visiting Pakistan this week.

Congressmen belonging to the Republican Party and considered to be very close to the US President George Bush are leading both the delegations. The visits are of conspicuous importance as they are taking place immediately after the Christmas vacations and two weeks ahead of the inauguration of President George Bush's second stint. One delegation will later visit to India and the other to Afghanistan immediately after completing their visits to Pakistan.

Well-placed diplomatic sources told The News on Tuesday that Republican Congressman Mark Kirk is reaching here on Friday next with his delegation. He has planned to proceed to Afghanistan after meetings and consultations in Islamabad.

The other delegation, led by Republican Senator Bill Frist will arrive here on Tuesday next. Senator Marry Landrieu, belonging to the Democratic Party, and Senator Norm Coleman of the Republican would be part of the delegation. The delegation will leave for New Delhi after staying here for four days, the sources said.
