Wanted For Questioning By Homeland Security: Dick Tracy?

You can't make this stuff up!

They're on the look out for this:

I posted this on my blog this morning, but here's the skinny:

Homeland Security Identifies New Terrorist Red Flag: Wristwatches

An advisory issued Monday by the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI urges the Transportation Security Administration to have airport screeners keep an eye out for wristwatches containing cigarette lighters or altimeters.

The notice says “recent intelligence suggests al-Qaida has expressed interest in obtaining wristwatches with a hidden butane-lighter function and Casio watches with an altimeter function. Casio watches have been extensively used by al-Qaida and associated organizations as timers for improvised explosive devices. The Casio brand is likely chosen due to its worldwide availability and inexpensive price.”

1. "chosen due to its worldwide availability and inexpensive price.”
lmfao! Do they plan on taking all Casio watches from passengers before the board? They'll need something big to hold those in.

2. We haven't heard anything from Homeland Security................
Edited on Wed Jan-05-05 07:55 AM by ClintonTyree
for quite some time now. The "terra" warnings ceased immediately after the election was stol.....er, won. A mere coincidence, I'm sure.

The Homeland Security Department just wants people to know that they're still on the ball, and that all of those multi-millions spent in Hawaii for a Homeland Security "summit" (the cocktail parties and vacations) were not spent in vain. They were busily discussing the Dick Tracy watch scenario (between the late afternoon cocktail party and the authentic Hawaiian luau at 7:00 PM) and have now taken steps to thwart that particular menace.
I'm really going to miss Tom Ridge. I really felt so SAFE with him at the helm. :eyes:
