DU! Phone blitz our Democratic Senators to let Conyers speak on Ohio!
This thread is a response to the Michael Moore thread

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x1469321

which discusses MM's open letter to the Senate to ask that at least just one senator will let Rep. Conyers present his concerns about the Ohio vote to the Senate.

This thread is more about an activist response. Can we flood our senators with calls and emails to make sure that at least one of them votes to inquire into Ohio -- and let's not have a repeat of the shameful episode in 2000, immortalized in F 9/11 when every single senator refused to let the Congressional Black Caucus present their concerns about the stolen 2000 election.

3. I don't know what's up with...
...Tom Harkin. I always thought he was a pretty great Senator. I've called, and emailed him repeatedly. I did get one form letter telling me "thank you for your concern, blah blah blah"...very condencending letter. I thought he was one of John Kerry's good friends?

I've gotten more thoughtful letters from Charles Grassley!

Right now Harkin just makes me want to :puke:

6. I don't put much stock in form letter replies
They usually don't say anything of any substance. It's quite annoying to get them and when I do, I delete 'em. Then I fax them some more! LOL!

4. Call Kerry's office
and tell him to quit conceding and legitimizing the results if you want any Dem Senator to not be laughed out of the chamber.

7. Kerry CAN'T be the one to concede
It has to be someone else if the challenge is to be taken seriously. Kerry has the most to lose and would look very "Sore Loserman" if he is the one to contest.
