USAT on Bush -- sees himself as overcoming "disadvantages"

This from a story about AG nominee Gonzales, the son of unschooled Mexican immigrants. Bush came to like Gonzales because he saw both of them as fighting to overcome "potential disadvatages," even though he hails from a family of millionaires and high-ranking pols. Am I missing something here?

3. Maybe his disadvantages are
Not being able to speak without tripping over his words

Not being able to walk without tripping over his face

Not being able to eat snack foods without potential bodily injury

Not being able to have an original thought

These are the first ones that come to mind
