White House Memo: Push Social Security Doom
If what is left of the Democratic Party does not do everything it can to stop this impending smear campaign on Social Security then it might as we just dissolve.

If DNC does not spend money to counter the Social Security doom ad blitz then it will fail.

If the Democratic Party does not stand and fight this then it has lost me forever.

If any member of the Democratic Party either in the House or Senate votes for the Bush, Inc, they do nto deserve one vote when they come up for reelection.

I knwo I sound angry and whinny but the line must be drawn and Social Security is it.

1. The one thing I think does need to happen

Is the retirement age of Social Security should have been raised in the past to keep up with the actual "retirement age". Had this been done, there would be no problems at all with SS.

It is/was a great program that worked, but from what the analysis I read states, retirement age should be increased by roughly 6 years due to longer life spans, etc.

I know Dean got fried for raising this issue, but on that count I totally agreed with him. As it is now, we may lose the entire system. We all know what is at work here? An ideological march to eliminate the Great Society, New Deal, any other social reforms, regulations, taxes, environmental and consumer rights laws.

I'm sure all that is somewhere in the Bible, but I just can't find it yet.
