As usual ... the Dems present facts, the Repugs hurl insults
nothing ever changes. They NEVER have a real argument or any real points to make. Reading editorials as a response is just pathetic! :eyes:

1. Exactly what happened.
No comparison, "fact" for "fact".

Just insults and belittling those who disagree with "us".

2. Are they incapable of arguing the point raised
They kept returning to that "Bush won fair and square" line and kept accusing the Democrats of trying to overturn the election. Do they do that on purpose or are they really that dense?

6. I'm sure they'll say the same when it happens to them.
I believe fair & just elections are the basis of Democracy and yet at this moment I feel we'll never win the WH back unless we're just as underhanded, dishonest, disgusting, deceitful and unworthy of Democracy as Republicans.

Ain't this a great country.

4. Another sign of victory...
The public isn't stupid. No one thinks Ohio was fair.

Dems want to talk about it....GOP shouts them down.

We framed the debate. It was the best we could honestly hope for.

voter enfranchisement, one citizen, one vote, "aiding the terrorists," and "bitter and partisan."

Is that the best they can do? I say let's hammer away at their response.

9. I watched most of the debate
and all the damn pukes could do was bring up ' radical conspiracy theories'. Well excuse me, but not one of the democratic reps brought up anything even remotly resembling the 'Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy' at all. They cited FACTS about how lines were 10 hours long and voters were intimidated. Not once that I heard did they accuse the Republicans of outright fraud, yet the Republicans kept bringing it up.

11. Here are the three big ones that I heard
1. Sour Grapes: We are just bitter we lost and can't get over it

2. Conspiracy Theorist: We are just ranting and raving with no facts to back us up, and are trying to accuse the Pubs of stealing the election (note no Democratic member of congress actually made this accusation, but they brought it up anyway)

3. This makes us look bad: One of them said something like, I'm glad my daughter left and didn't have to see this because this is a sad waste of congress's time. Someone else said this wastes 'the people's' time.

I'm sure there are more than this, feel free to add or correct as you see fit

14. Don't forget frivolous
That was raised more than once:

"This is a frivolous waste of time."

They sure seem to love using that word for some reason. Seems to always apply to something that's bad for them and good for the people.

12. Typical!!
They always act like they're the aggrieved party, as if THEIR rights have been trampled, as if THEY'RE in the minority, as if THEY are suffering, as if THEY have some reason to be furious.

Look at the conventions!! Our theme was national unity and moving forward, theirs was hatred and anger and dividing the country along the scars of old wounds and new ones.

They are evil fuckwads.

13. I watched as much of the House proceedings as I could stand,
And I was so proud of the Democrats.

One after another, they called for election reform with consistent rules and verifiable voting, no matter which was the ascendant party or votegetter.

Then, one Republican after another hurled wild accusations and insults at the Democrats.

The republicans were despicable.

16. We have to use LOTS of the footage of that debate
That WILL come back to bite the GOP in 2006 if they want to try to go after us for DARING to question the boy king.
