Which G.O.P Wing Nut Wins The Award For Hyperbole? |
|
The GOP is hammering hard on cable news that no BOE in Ohio objected and that most every newspaper in Ohio called the election fair. I wish the Democrats would be better prepared to go on TV and counter these jerkwads. I have only occasionally heard the point made that the BOE members all serve at the pleasure of the S O S Blackwell.
Tom DeLay has won my award for the most hysterical response to the protest that took place in the joint session. He said the Democrats have been taken over by the X-File wing of the party . What kind of people live in Sugarland Texas?
We should not be in denial or surprised by the coming tsunami of GOP spin, lies and misdirection concerning the protest today and vote fraud. You can be certain that the GOP has prepared and distributed their talking points to all their media assets who will dutifully recite them ad nauseum. It does appear though that their main strategy is to make sure the issue is ignored by the media. The event is being eclipsed quite nicely by the Gonzalez hearings.

She's the one who got the chyme actively pushing up into my esophagus. But I'm living in Michigan and have alot of emotional issues involving that darling little girl.
I must say, virtually all of the Repubs made a great showing of their asses today, and I applaud them for it!

rich, white republicans mostly. Sugarland has become a subburb of Houston, and the destination of many professionals engaging in "white flight"

... Sugar Land is populated by DeLay supporters. It's a strange place. More than its fair share of fundies.
But, Morrison made a pretty good dent in DeLay's support this time around. With luck, he'll prevail next time. If he wins in 2006, you can bet that DeLay will be screaming vote fraud so loud that he could be heard, without amplification, in Alaska.
