1. All we need
is a major civil rights group, a major union like SEIU or AFSCME, and a major environmental group to back it. If they stop giving their money to the DNC and fund a third party then we have one. Too bad the left can never agree to work together effectively.

7. Radical
HOW DO WE GO ABOUT DOING THAT?

I'm serious. I'm sick of this shit.

It's time for action. Major civil rights group, major union, and major environmental group. It's on. Let's get some ideas and start brainstorming and writing letters.

17. Yep, the CBC does a better job of representing ThIS white female
than just about anyone esle in Congress. I'd join too. Happily, Happily.

And ya know what else? Howard Dean's candidacy, and his morphed Democracy for America, as well as the recount money raised AND the tsunami private donations all prove that there IS money out there if you've got the right message and/or issue. I know in my heart there are millions of Americans who are dying for REAL representation, honesty and integrity in their politics and government, and would pay dearly for it. People who supported Dean gave to him hand over fist, even when they didn't really have it. Most of them were NEVER involved in politics before and had certainly never donated before. So money is NOT an issue here.

such as the case with Barack Obama in the Senate.

8. Hey info
elaborate, I'm fascinated. Would this be a third party? Would we possibly join up with the greens? I'm assuming we'd have the same progressive/liberal positions......

I say hell yeah.

9. Wow!
As a young black American from Texas, I believe that if the present Democratic party is not effectively representing its supporters then a new party should be formed.

11. Let's get together then.
I'm a Texan, too, though I'm not sure I'm young (34--LOL) and I'm white. But I'm sick of minorities being underrepresented in government.

12. I'm with you.
They're not afraid to talk about the real issues. They're not even afraid at directing criticism of their own people, but stand together when it counts. That's my kind of revolution.

18. I'm With You!
I asked this question at another thread?? Why is it that only the Black Caucus is standing up for us???

I'm white, but I think I'm really black. Seems I come down on their side more times than not.

If I've been re-incarnated, maybe I want to go back!

20. I'd join up in a heartbeat!
I'm a white female, but I can't tell you how sick I am of this country being run by mostly rich old white men. Technically there are more women in the country, so why are we such a small minority in government??? What we need is a government that represents the American people better.

My family has always been very loyal to the Democratic party, as have I, but what use is loyalty if we can't get anything done??? We need to make some big changes, and if this is what it takes to save the country from these egotistical, hypocritical and not very attractive rePUKEs, then so be it!!!

I'm a white disenfranchised female professional but find myself continuously aligned with the CBC. I want to be an honorary Black and I want Blackwell and Powell impeached from my new race.

22. I've said for a very long time that Democratic Black Americans...
Edited on Thu Jan-06-05 09:11 PM by Q
...are the only ones that seem interested in defending the rights of all Americans.

I'm very proud of the Democratic Black Caucus and similar organizations that never seem to give up on the people or the party.

23. Absolutely
I agreee with you. Time and time again, the Congressional Black Caucus has shown themselves to be the conscience of the Democratic Party; heck, of the entire Congress.

They rise to the ocassion, speak truth to power, and stand up for what is right, when no one else will.

They are the living embodiment of profiles in courage.
