How will SS Privatization affect my SSI benefits?
I get less than $600 a month as it is, will it get worse??

1. Probably not for you. But I fear for the disabled and survivor benefits.
I fear that bush may pull a Reagan in that regard.

2. worse, depending on how old you are
privatization will weaken SS, thus requiring benefit cuts, thus making SS less wildly popular than it is now, thus making the GOP's ultimate goal of getting rid of it entirely more politically doable.

3. Probably won't affect those already collecting..they are screwing you
with medicare instead...for people like myself who have earned and contributed maximum and are nearing 50 but NOT YET 50...it will righteously screw us over.

I'm not yet on Medicaid though, but will be this year.
