The importance of the 2006 midterm elections. The truth will be shown.

Like many Democrats, I am feeling depressed, beaten and somewhat hopeless about the future. I've decided that I'm going to try as hard as hell to bury those feelings and make sure that I vote in every election- local, state, primaries and definitely for the races in the 2006 election. I will ALWAYS vote Democrat. There will not be a viable 3rd party in my lifetime and I'm not giving up on the Democratic Party.

Having said that, if we end up losing Senate seats in 2006, possibly giving the republicans 60 or more seats in the Senate, AND this appears to be done by our obviously tamper ridden voting system, THEN the TRUTH will finally sink into my soul. If this happens, you know the House will lose Democratic seats as well. The judiciary branch of this country will be filled with far right wing ideologues and the takeover will be totally, irrevocably complete for years to come.

I have no idea what I can do or any Democrat or any other political entity can do to fight the complete takeover by the most dangerous bunch of men and few crazy women ( I saw some truly EVIL republican women spewing their hate and disinformation yesterday ) that this world has ever seen. We have had dangerous people in positions of great power in the past, but never with the capability to destroy as much world-wide as can the current administration of the United States of America.

If we can't accomplish election reform and the republicans stay in control of the voting equipment, WHAT DO WE DO?

Again, I think the elections of 2006 will be THE deciding factor in what this country truly becomes.

Can anyone foresee a more optimistic future? Please?
