I think we are tired of the double talk and lies ro.. |

We want a straight shooter candidate that is not BOUGHT by corporations...everyone is just out to make money in punditry and politics today.

few people have the luxury of waking up one morning and deciding to run for office. Candidates, usually in lower local or state offices, are approached by groups of backers who persuade them to run. When unions were strong and powerful, they used to be able to get prolabor candidates elected. Thanks to Reagan, BushI and Clinton, our unions are just shells of what they used to be and can no longer field candidates to look out for the interests of working people.
We're left with candidates who are fielded by corporations and professional groups like the AMA or ABA.
No, it's not good. However, this is the reality. Until and unless we completely change how campaigns are funded and run, it's going to stay this way.
