*&##@%*#! Outrage requested!
Yes, by God, I take this personally!! I'm a public school teacher in a poor area fighting my way through the unfunded mandates of no child left behind on a daily basis. There's no money to implement any of the regulations so carelessly thrown at us by the * administration, and what money is spent is blown on endless testing!

BUT NEARLY A QUARTER OF A MILLION DOLLARS WAS ILLEGALLY GIVEN TO ARMSTRONG WILLIAMS AS A BRIBE? They have money for that? It was our tax dollars, people! This is illegal, and we can not stand for it!

We need to scream bloody murder, because not only is this wrong in every conceivable way, it is also something that the average American can understand. What do you think? Will the Dems fold, or will they finally stand up to these thugs? And are we going to make them stand up?

:argh:

3. I retired because I could not take it anymore.
I loved the kids, and I really wanted to teach longer. But I could not take it after Jeb was elected. Things changed quickly.

You have my sympathy. I wanted to teach longer, but my spirit was broken.

4. The kids in my school district
learn from textbooks held together with tape and staples and study under leaky roofs.

In one school, the 40 year old electrical wiring catches on fire at LEAST once a year. It's become a running bet among the teachers to see where it breaks out each year. Last year it was a sixth grade English teacher's ceiling.

But, yeah. Fuck the kids, who cares about them, right?

5. As long as Armstrong gets his
who cares about kids? This administration is the most dishonest, corrupt and cynical of all time.

7. The science books in my classroom were 15 years old.
The math books were ancient, and ripped and torn. The only new books were the reading series.

I had to buy supplies for those who could not afford them.

Meanwhile across town, the schools of choice and magnet had two textbooks for each child...new ones...one to leave at school and one to keep at home.

8. I had to quit because of a moldy library....it made me so sick
I had to get out. Rugs, leaking roof = a mess. And, having worked in several other school libraries, I didn't hold out much hope for anything better in NJ....

9. You got a problem with unfunded mandates ?
How about Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security ? The whole New Deal, Great Society is built on it. Why is NCLB any different ?
