Why is everyone mad at Armstrong?
C'mon, people, don't get sidetracked here....it's not Armstrong, although the "press" will be more than happy to make him the fall guy.

IT'S CHIMP! He and his administration used OUR tax money that should have gone to this country's school children to bribe someone! It's that simple. Are the Dem talking heads even capable of framing it like that?

Our side should be screaming about Chimp stealing our tax money from the children!! Oh but NOOOOOOOO...only repukes get to fight dirty. And that, ladies and gentleman, is why we lose elections! :argh:

1. I am starting to believe that more media people are paid for by bushco
then we realize, look at how they did not cover the election problems ?? They made it look pretty obvious whose side they are on but greed will do that to you.

3. Bingo!!!
I tried to point that out in another thread.

Which scenario is more likely...Williams risking his livelihood by approaching the administration unbidden and proposing breaking the law for them?

Or some administration snake setting it up with him?

Knowing what we know about chimpco, we should all know the answer to that one.

4. This is the tip of the iceberg
Bush Co surely did not pay off only one single local media hack. This is widespread and we need to call for investigations into who else in the media has been given "gifts" and not limit it to finding legal contracts on file.

5. Bushco Pays TV Networks To Produce Popular TV Shows Using...
scripts provided by Bushco. This came to light a few years ago. The show in question was ER. The Bushco spokesman said they do it with other shows as well. Just thought you'd like to know that your tax dollars are going to provide government propaganda in your prime-time TV shows too.

6. Armstrong is an accomplice
and is not squeaky clean either. C'mon, taking a massive, secret bribe to tout an agenda publicly?

That said, you have addressed the fundamental issue: the media is loathe to criticize Junior about anything. ANYTHING. If they wouldn't tackle him on the war they're not going to go anywhere near this.

10. Yes Armstrong is to blame
for taking money, and I have never been impressed with his ideas or his ethics. However, the one offering the money is *! And I have heard little if any criticism of the boy king. Then again, I boycott the corporate media religiously, so maybe I missed something. I don't think so, though.

7. Armstrong is an example
of how rotten the press has become.

Sure Bush* is a big problem, but he wouldn't be half the problem he is if it wasn't for the mainstream press being complicit.

8. From www.TvNewsLIES.org
TVNL Editor's Comments: There is a lot of noise regarding the “pundit” who was paid by the Bush administration to push the no child left behind program. Of course, this is a blatant violation of journalistic ethics (a phrase that has become an oxymoron recently), but do you know that there is a better example of this violation at, you guessed it….FOX News! William Krisol is a regular face on FOX, most notably on Brit Hume’s show. FOX touts Kristol as the editor of the Weekly Standard, which is true. But a more notable credit that FOX has never mentioned to their viewers is that Kristol is the chairman, let me repeat that…CHAIRMAN of the Project for a New American Century (PNAC). In other words Kristol is one of the authors of the neocon agenda and he is propped up in front of a “news” watching audience as a pundit/journalist who is simply sharing his views on the events of the day. In other words, he is a shill. FYI there were 10 PNAC members in the Bush administration. Several have left like Richard Perle and John Bolton (just announced). But many remain in place, in essence running the show; like Cheney, Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz. Kristol is the CHARIMAN of their organization. Think about it!

11. Absolutely. Although the media whores must also pay a price.
We need to find out who else was paid to promote their sick and illegal agenda. There must be some sort of "Dupe the American Public" fund these bastards use.
