Tin foil hat time -- Another What if...
Bushes certainly have had a history of a cozy relationship with Iran.

What if...
:tinfoilhat: :tinfoilhat: :tinfoilhat: :tinfoilhat: :tinfoilhat:
October 1980 - George H.W. Bush visits Iran -- promises religious leaders that we will remove their enemy Saddam from power if they will not release the hostages while Jimmy Carter is in office.

Reagan Administration - Iran/Contra affair is used to show Bush's good faith to Iran in covertly helping them in the war against Saddam while overtly helping Saddam.

Gulf War I 1991 - Bush does not go in and take out Saddam as promised.

Sept 11, 2001 - Warning to George W. Bush that his family promised to remove Saddam from power.

After Sept 11 - George W. Bush tries to come up with all kind of excuses for invading Iraq and removing Saddam from power. Iraq war ensues. Elections put Shiites into power. Iran annexes Iraq.

:tinfoilhat: You may remove your tin foil hat now. B-)
