Armstrong is the tip of the Iceberg.
Remember this administration is from the corporate world that thrives on
marketing and getting their message out into the media from numerous sources.

Karl Rove uses Creative Response Concepts as one of his outlets.

http://www.crc4pr.com/

They get the message out that is wanted. They did the swift boat stuff and got
people talking about Dan Rather instead of if bush showed up for his military
duty. Look at their client list. Also as a proud member of "The Boxer Rebellion"
I think it is my duty to make sure everybody gets to find out about these scum. They
also hire many former media people.

Too bad they took down their external e mail link. They took it down when I sent e mails asking about the swift boat shits.

Anybody going to D.C. to protest the Re kinging bush should visit their offices and PNAC offices.

1. Very interesting information...
I agree that there are far more people out there that have been paid for doing the same thing Armstrong did.

This morning, I think it was on Chris Matthews program, that one of the rw pundits immediately said, "Oh, lots of it was done during the Clinton Administration!" Trying to shift focus,...again....as usual...

6. "Lots during the Clinton administration".
I'll bet this guy provided no comparable examples. Anything similar during the Clinton administration would have been a major scandal.

You would have investigative reporters, chaotic press briefings, wall to wall coverage on cable and "more questions raised".

3. Who was it a while back who admitted to phoning the Rove line
just before going on the air? I wonder if the Rove hotline is run by some PR agency....

I agree Williams is just the tip, and remember, this is OUR money they're using.

4. It's maddening enough that this has been going on,...
but the thought that these assholes were using MY tax dollars to pay for it is really beyond the pale. If so, it has got to be illegal.
Will anybody be prosecuted?

7. Cruadin: Just to be facetious...
In answer to your question:

"Will anybody be prosecuted?"

I respond:

Has Ken Lay been prosecuted?

Has Osama bin Laden been prosecuted?

Does a bear have feathers?

:)

5. The Bush administration needs to provide documentation.
We need a list of all media people on the White House payroll and the GAO needs to investigate.

The Republicans talked about "accountability" every day during Clinton so they should have no objections.

8. Ya'know, going to this website was educational...

shows how propaganda is a money making business for some and involves orchestrated cooperation with media outlets.

We can fill in holes about the manufacture of it and the distribution of it. This is the way propaganda is polished and moved.

Here is an example of what this company says they do:

(part of their Welcome message)

"Creative Response Concepts specializes in getting media coverage for our clients. We work for some of the world’s largest corporations, industry groups, non-profit organizations, and legislative initiatives."

Here is a case study:

(part of their example)

"CRC was initially tasked with issues management, consumer education, and litigation support for xxxxxx. As part of this effort, CRC oversaw and coordinated message management and media relations for xxxx in their federal antitrust trial." plus

"As a result of these efforts, xxxx’s message was integrated into stories that ran in such outlets as: US News & World Report, Fortune, the Wall Street Journal, ABC, NBC, CBS, CNBC, CNN among many other outlets."

I don't object to anyone coming up with a business, but we need to see how propaganda is manufactured because it is becoming our enemy with the gullible and trusting voters.

This company does the work for the media, uses their partnership connections, creates fodder for the endless financial shows, and probably creates the illusion of news that they give the outlets.

9. From what I gather CRC plants stories.
With former members of the media and current members of the
media not wanting to upset the gravy train it all gets very ugly. I think
the liberal media and some of our democratic "leaders" are on the same gravy
train.

But CRC goes beyond a normal business because they allow bush and company
to stay in power and that in return gives us all death, debt, dead democracy and
dumbing down. Day are Dastards!

Viva the Boxer Rebellion.

11. It's the fraud...
I guess I'm not as upset about the polishing (and excusing and covering up) business or who buys their services, I'm bugged about the medial outlets. I feel they are frauds for not doing the work themselves and partners in their attempt to own us and their neglect of truth that is inherent in buying propaganda, plus the fraud involving the profits of propaganda.

12. CBS news and so on are no longer just in the news biz
They like so many others are in the money biz. "They" willing go
along with CRC because it is easier and I think a go along to get along
culture is SOP now and for the past 20 years. Bill Moyers, Ted Koppel, and dare
I say Jon Stewart are are few and far between. How else can you explain all those
pics of Monica and her dress and no pictures of coffins from Iraq? Kerry slips up
and call Lambue field in Green Bay Lambert Field and that get huge airplay but
go to dubya speak and just look at bush's last time he tried speaking. Something
has to be behind this unequal treatment.

I think the Boxer has to drag this problem of a lap dog media and a lap dog democratic party front and center.
